Welcoming Month of May
What are the most important things in your life?
Quietly mention them in your heart. Or jot them down on a piece of paper. When we examine what we hold most dear in our hearts we are led to the truth - they are not things but people. Lord, teach me to truly value the people in my life. Amen
May 4, 08′ - Today is Ascension Sunday. Jesus goes back to the Father and sits at His right hand. But He doesn’t leave us orphaned. He promises us the abiding presence of the Spirit who will keep us from falling and stumbling away. It is this Spirit who will accompany and guide us as we find our way to the Father.
May 3, 08′ - After all this time in the company of Jesus, Philip still has not understood Jesus. But the good thing about Philip is that he doesn’t hesitate to plead with Jesus and reveal his confusion. He seeks Him out and Jesus shows him the way. We can always come to the Lord when we need to be enlightened.
May 2, 08′ - It seems at times that we take our faith more seriously only when we encounter hardships. We see that good and innocent people are not spared from suffering. The Lord hanging on the cross quietly, lovingly reminds us: ‘I too am suffering as you suffer. I AM WITH YOU as you endure your pain.’
